It’s in no doubt at this point that the removal of copper or aluminum oxides from the rod mill coolant is essential to a quality rod, increased mill rolls life, and increased production, in addition to maintaining the coolant quality and coolant service time resulting in less waste-cost and reduced environmental impact. A correctly sized and designed filtration system is a must to accomplish this. This presentation provides the most recent information to the copper rod producer about coolant filtration system design, sizing, and component preference.
