This paper explores a method for increasing technological plasticity of material in the dieless drawing process. The proposed method is based on the implementation of a multi-pass process. The authors have theoretically and experimentally investigated two dieless drawing processes. The difference was related to the heating systems, induction heating and laser heating. FEM simulations and experimental tests were performed for two materials, magnesium alloy and pure copper. It was shown that the more effective increase in plasticity can be achieved using laser dieless drawing.
